How dose the heading of the eye muscles relate to its movement?

The lateral rectus pulls the eye laterally (toward the side). The medial rectus moves the eye medially (inward).
The inferior rectus moves the eye inferiorly (down)
The superior rectus moves the eye up
**This does not hold true for the superior and inferior oblique muscles.
