You enjoy to be reasonably intelligent. As a previous poster said, unyielding work counts for a lot of it, but you own to have a spot on amount of facility with book-learnin'. *g* There's a large amount of reading and memorization involved and it's packed into a immensely short time.
Having said that, if you can get through college, you can procure through med school, if it's what you really want to do. That's where on earth the hard work comes into it.
Pay vary a great deal depending on specialty and the nouns where you live and work, so there's really no significant answer to "average" pay. I guess I could answer by truism that there's no reason a qualified doctor shouldn't brand name a comfortable living. It certainly is no road to get rich sudden.

not really veryyyyyyyy intelligent but if you have the interest...it wont appropriate a lot of hardwork and stufff.... jus shift for it...the pay...huh... it surely pays plentifully.... should be more than S$4000 and more....
